Come join us in a different exploration of the Autumn Equinox season. While technically a Christian holy day celebrating the victory of Archangel Michael in the war in heaven, the time is filled with many folkloric traditions associated with all four of the seasonal archangels. In the lore the role of blackberries, curses by the Devil, reveal a mystery between Michael, the Devil, and the Goddess of the Land. Many of the shrines and sites devoted to St. Michael are intimately connected to the ley lines and Earth mysteries of Michael and Mary. Experience the mysteries of the solar and stellar fire of Michael, the telluric currents of the Earth Mother embodied by the last fruits and flowers of the land, and the seeming adversarial forces of the Dragon fire deep below. Find the battle of heaven, or a Forge of Becoming in the sacred landscape of the cosmos? Our session will include a lecture on these esoteric ideas, and a short moderated Q&A session followed by a visionary working into the Mysteries of Michaelmas and the secret of the Light within the Earth. You can use this material to deepen your own personal Beltane rituals at home this year, and support local community.
